Rolex Explorer 2 Caliber 3185 OH ASMR
I received a Rolex Explorer II. I was proceeding with the repair of the problem due to the lack of mainspring, but an unexpected problem was discovered at the accuracy adjustment stage.
There is evidence that the balance has been processed in the repair so far, and there are six traces of adjusting the weight by drilling holes on the back side.
At the site of repair, processing is sometimes done to fine-tune the weight of the balance, but it is usually done while carefully balancing. However, it is impossible that there are six cutting marks in one direction like this time, the weight balance of the balance was significantly out of order, and the accuracy was not at all.
The balance is the heart of the watch, and the balance of weight is very important because it maintains accuracy through rotational movement. Especially when the watch is tilted (in a vertical position) when it is worn on the wrist, its influence is noticeable and greatly affects the accuracy of the watch.
Since it was impossible to restore what had already been cut, we were able to make corrections through trial and error and finally adjust it to practical accuracy, but it was a very time-consuming task.

Nato per accompagnare speleologi, vulcanologi e chi vive in condizioni dove distinguere il giorno dalla notte non è scontato, questo orologio da 42 mm in acciaio Oystersteel è costruito per resistere a tutto: urti, graffi, sbalzi di temperatura, umidità e ambienti estremi. La sua lunetta fissa incisa con scala 24 ore, abbinata alla lancetta arancione a freccia (che compie un giro ogni 24 ore), permette di leggere un secondo fuso orario o semplicemente distinguere AM/PM. Una funzione nata per esigenze reali, non per moda. Il quadrante è un esempio di leggibilità assoluta: indici geometrici riempiti di Chromalight, una luminescenza blu intensa e duratura. C’è anche la data con lente Cyclope a ore 3, perfettamente integrata. Ma il cuore tecnologico è il calibro 3285: movimento meccanico automatico con funzione GMT, spirale Parachrom blu antimagnetica, sistema antiurto Paraflex e una riserva di carica di circa 70 ore. È un Cronometro Superlativo, con una precisione di ±2 secondi al giorno, certificata da Rolex dopo l’assemblaggio finale. L’Explorer II non cerca di piacere a tutti. Non è appariscente.
