Microplastics research ruined this food for me… I started my research on microplastics 3 years ago and I still learn so many things about these little particles. And many of these things related to much to food, because we eat so much microplastics apparently! I’m not saying for you to NOT eat this food but to understand the extent of the problem and WHY we need proper regulations more than ever. No, this isn’t a Valentine’s Day gift, it’s a wind turbine that has NO Blades. They have been created by Spanish startup, Vortex Bladeless and they can convert wind energy coming from any direction. Essentially the base is connected to the ground whilst the cylindrical mast is able to live its best life and oscillates freely perpendicular to the wind direction which generates electricity, utilising something called vortex shedding. The technology, which is still in development, isn't as efficient as traditional wind turbines, but as there are no blades, they are safer for wildlife such as birds, they're lower maintenance and create virtually no noise pollution, meaning they could be good in urban areas and protected areas. 4 cosas que ya no compro en el súper porque cuido mi salud hormonal (Parte 2) 1. Agua embotellada porque contiene microplásticos. Además, los envases de plástico liberan BPA y otros disruptores hormonales con el calor y el tiempo. ahora uso agua filtrada por ósmosis inversa, evitando el plástico y los contaminantes. 2. Bálsamos labiales comerciales comerciales porque en realidad la mayoría contienen petrolatos, parabenos y fragancias sintéticas. prefiero bálsamos con aceites vegetales, ceras naturales y aceites esenciales. 3. Talco puede estar contaminado con asbesto y se ha relacionado con problemas de salud. Prefiero usar maicena o arcilla blanca 4. Aromatizantes comerciales. Ese típico “olor a limpio” viene con fragancias sintéticas llenas de ftalatos, que alteran el sistema hormonal, y además contienen benceno, formaldehído y otros compuestos volátiles tóxicos.
