Poor diet makes most treats of low value paired with poor handling skills which makes those food items extremely unattractive. It’s a low reward, high risk. No one would take that deal. So we have to turn the tables. We want a HIGH REWARD, LOW RISK interaction. Now they’re taking very little risk, a very easy task and in exchange getting a large payout of something they value highly. This also means we can be generous with treats and it doesn’t take a lot to have them be interested in us because they essentially only have things to gain and almost nothing to lose. #budgies #parakeet #budgietraining #parakeets #parrots #parrottraining
