Find a quiet and comfortable place to sit or lie down, close your eyes, and take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Begin by bringing your attention to your breath. Feel the sensation of the air moving in and out of your body. As you inhale, say to yourself, "I breathe in calmness." As you exhale, say, "I release tension."
Now, bring to mind a situation or person that triggers anger within you. Imagine yourself in that situation, feeling the anger arise. Notice where the anger resides in your body. Is it in your chest, your shoulders, or your stomach?
As you continue to breathe deeply, imagine that with each exhale, you are releasing a little bit of that anger. Envision it leaving your body like smoke disappearing into the air.
Repeat the following phrase to yourself: "I release anger, I choose peace." Allow these words to sink deeply into your mind and heart.
Take one final, deep breath in, and as you exhale, imagine any remaining anger leaving your body. When you are ready, slowly open your eyes, and take a moment to notice how you feel before getting back to your day.
Namaste.
